The phase one of the pilot program commenced on December 18 at AEON STYLE Kai Tak, with 10 X‑Trolley smart shopping carts available for customer use. Equipped with advanced product location features and quick self-checkout options, it significantly increases the convenience and flexibility of shopping for customers while simplifying the shopping process and reducing manual operations, thereby enhancing overall company efficiency and promoting sustainable long-term business growth.
Built-in Advanced Location Function to Speed Up the Shopping Process and Optimize Customer Experience
The X-Trolley Smart Shopping Cart is equipped with an advanced product location feature. When using the cart, customers simply need to enter Chinese or English product keywords on the screen, and the cart will display the shelf location of the products in map form, guiding customers to their desired products, which provides a more convenient shopping experience.
Enhanced Self-checkout Function for a One-stop Automation
In design, the X-Trolley Smart Shopping Cart offers a larger storage space for products than the shopping carts currently used in stores. When customers use it, they can simply scan items while walking using the scanner on the cart, and then pay at a designated self-checkout machine for a streamlined automated shopping process. This not only increases shopping convenience for customers, but also significantly reduces waiting times at store checkouts and minimizes manual operations, improving overall store operational efficiency.

AEON members can activate the X‑Trolley by scanning the member QR code in the AEON Mobile App or the barcode on the physical membership card using the scanner on the cart.
