Used Book Recycling Campaign 2023 Kicks Off

The Used Book Recycling Campaign has been co-organized by World Vision Hong Kong and AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited since 1992. The event has collected over 6.2 million used books and has risen over HK$23 million over the past years for World Vision’s poverty-alleviation projects, at the same time, supporting environmental protection.

This year marks the 29th ceremony of the event. Under the theme "Books Make New Milestones," the objective is to promote widespread access to quality books and inspire readers.

The funds raised from this event will be used in local education projects for the first time, which will support the children with special educational needs (SEN) in Hong Kong by providing new training facilities, dyslexia treatment and tutoring classes to ultimately assist they develop life and vocational skills, moving towards a new milestone in the future.

The annual Used Book Recycling Campaign kicks off today (25 August) at the atrium of Citywalk Phase 2, Tsuen Wan. Many used books ranging from novels, leisure reading, children’s books and comics, to reference books, are collected and on sale for as low as HK$10.
