AEON Awarded “Excellence of Environmental Contribution” in U Green Awards 2018-2019"

AEON has been striving towards the development of a sustainable society over the years, joining hand in hand with stakeholders to contribute to environmental conservation through various programmes. In U Green Awards 2018-2019, organised by "U Magazine", AEON was awarded "Excellence of Environmental Contribution" for its positive impact and persistent contribution.

U Green Awards, which aims to recognise the outstanding environmental achievements of organisations and industries, has been organised for 9 years. The 2018-2019 award presentation ceremony was held on 4 January with the presence of Mr. Wong Kam-sing, GBS, JP, Secretary for the Environment, who shared with the audience the development of environmental protection in Hong Kong.

AEON will continue to leverage the Group's experience to actively promote environmental activities with customers through retail business and strive to contribute to the community and the environment.

AEON Stores was established in Hong Kong in 1985 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1994. The Group is mainly engaged in the operation of general merchandise stores (GMS). Currently, it operates 10 GMS, 2 independent supermarkets, 33 independent Living PLAZA by AEON, 30 independent Daiso Japan, 1 independent Bento Express by AEON and 4 Mono Mono and 3 KOMEDA'S Coffee in densely populated districts in Hong Kong. It also operates 21 GMS and 15 independent supermarkets in Guangdong Province, the PRC.
