AEON STYLE Kornhill X Kornhill Plaza "Japanese Wine Festival" Tasting Event

During 15th to 29th June 2017, AEON STYLE Kornhill and Kornhill Plaza jointly presented the Japanese Wine Festival to bring customers a range of high-grade Japanese liquors and liqueurs, including umeshu, whisky, sake and more. On 16th June, a tasting event was organised for guests to taste and learn about some of the recommended items.

Mr. Naoya Sato, a Japanese liquor importer, first introduced the "AEON 30th Anniversary limited edition" TAMANOHIKARI "Junmai Daiginjo" Sake. The historic brewery was the first to brew "junmai" (literally pure rice) sake - sake with no adding of distilled alcohol. This AEON 30th Anniversary limited edition belongs to the finest "junmai daiginjo" category, sake made of rice grains milled to at least 50%, and is produced in Hyogo Prefecture which is famous for its good water.

During the event, guests also had a taste of the fruity UMENOYADO Yuzu Sake, the refreshing CHOYA Uji Green Tea Umeshu, the umeshu and brandy blended CHOYA "The Black" and the CHOYA "Premium Umeshu Limited Edition" brewed from selected fleshy plums. Mr. Sato also introduced The CHOYA Aged 3 Years, the latest product of the brand, which was awarded gold medal in the International Spirits Challenge 2017, first ever for an umeshu.
