Important Notice to Customers

Dear Customer,

AEONCITY discovered on 4 June 2017 that the security of the personal data of some of its customers may have been breached.  The breach involved the personal data of customers who had purchased from AEONCITY's  Group Buy website (aeoncity.com.hk). Some of our customers' personal data was accessible on third party search engines.

We are investigating into the incident to ascertain the number of customers affected and the particulars of the personal data in the breach. We have taken steps to remove such personal data from our website and are collaborating with the relevant search service providers to remove such personal data from their servers. We shall be in touch with the affected customers soon to provide further assistance.

Aeon Stores (Hong Kong) Company Limited is committed to the security of the personal data of our customers and has adopted stringent procedures in handling our customers' personal data. We are contacting the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data regarding the incident. We offer our sincerest apology to the inconvenience and distress caused to our customers in this incident.

We shall provide an update on our website once we have further information on the incident.
