AEON Stores 30th Anniversary Kick-off Ceremony

AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited opened its first store in Hong Kong in November 1987. From JUSCO to AEON, the brand has been growing up together with many Hong Kong citizens and this year, it is celebrating its 30th Anniversary. To mark this important milestone and express sincere gratitude to all stakeholders, AEON has planned a series of special events across the year.

To kick off celebration of 30th Anniversary, a ceremony was held on 10th March in AEON STYLE Kornhill. Officiating guests included Mr. Kuninori Matsuda, Ambassador & Consul-General of Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong; Mr. Norman Chan, Director (Leasing & Sales) of Hang Lung Properties Limited; Ms. Yuki Habu, Chairman of AEON Stores; Ms. Christine Chan, Managing Director of AEON Stores; Mr. Hideaki Yajima, Deputy Managing Director of AEON Stores and Mr. Edward Chak, Director of AEON Stores.

Ms. Christine Chan said, "From now on, AEON is moving on to a new era. We will work as a whole and promise to offer more unique and exciting shopping experience to our customers and to make continuing contribution to the community. I believe, AEON and all our stakeholders together can create a bright and fruitful future in the coming 30 years!"

The ceremony was also graced by the presence of 30 long-term business partners. Ms. Yuki Habu and Ms. Christine Chan represented AEON to present a appreciation memento to each of the company to thank their support throughout these years.

As the officiating guests carried out the ceremonial kick-off gimmick of "kagami biraki", a Japanese traditional ceremony, and toasting, AEON Stores announced the official start of the 30th Anniversary Celebration!
