AEON Hokkaido Mikasa Food Fair Opening Ceremony

AEON organize the "AEON Hokkaido Mikasa Food Fair " together with Agriculture & Forestry Section Economic Construction Department of Mikasa City in July to promote the region's tourism and products. The Opening Ceremony was held on 2nd July at AEON Lai Chi Kok Store, officiated by Mr. Hiroki Matsumoto, Agriculture and Forestry Section Economic Construction Department Manager of Mikasa City, Ms. Christine Chan, Managing Director of AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited and Mr. Y. Mizushima, Deputy Buying Managing Director of AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited.

In the Ceremony, Mr. Hiroki Matsumoto introduced the travel information, region’s cultures and famous goods of Hokkaido Mikasa to Hong Kong Customers. Mikasa is located at the west of central Hokkaido with great natural environment and climate. The most popular fruit is Mikasa Melon which was planted in 1919 and is famous of its sweet melting texture.  “Melon Boys” also joined the Opening Ceremony and brought gifts from Mikasa to Hong Kong customers. The ceremony was concluded by Mikasa Melon tasting. Guests and customers greatly enjoyed the melons.
