AEON X Kumamoto Fair Opening & KUMAMON Christmas Light-on Ceremony

Mr. Kumamon, Sales Manager and Happiness Manager of Kumamoto Prefecture, hit AEON Kornhill Store on 19th Nov 2015 to officiate the “AEON X Kumamoto Fair Opening & KUMAMON Christmas Light-on Ceremony” with two honorable guests, Mr. Hideki Nishiyama, Chief Director of Kumamoto Prefectural Government Hong Kong Representative Office, and Mr. Hideaki Yajima, Director of AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited.

The famous Kumamon attracted all the attention from the audience when he turned up in the ceremony. The fans, both young and old, were charmed with Kumamon as he performed aerobic dance and took selfies with the customers. To appreciate the long-term support from his fans, Kumamon also dropped by different AEON stores to have fans meeting from 19th to 20th Nov 2015.

During this visit, Kumamon worked together with AEON to promote Kumamoto local delicacy and Kumamon products to Hong Kong customers. Kumamoto Prefecture owns abundant natural resources, with clean and limpid water and fertile soil which facilitate the planting of diverse agricultural products, including vegetables like sweet potato and tangerine. Besides, the prefecture also provides numerous safe and delicious fresh and processed foods, such as beef and rice. Through this event, it is hoped that Hong Kong customers can enjoy the taste of Kumamoto.
