Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence 2014

AEON has always been devoted to environmental contribution. As a new highlight, it has been awarded the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence (HKAEE), jointly organised by the Environmental Campaign Committee, the Environmental Protection Department and 9 other organisations. The award presentation ceremony was held on 14 May at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai, with the Chief Executive, Mr. C. Y. Leung, as the officiating guest.

The HKAEE aims to encourage businesses and organisations to adopt green management practices and to recognise those that demonstrate an outstanding performance in environment protection. Through various energy-saving, resource recycling and other environmental programmes, AEON continues to contribute to environmental conservation together with its stakeholders, and thus, has gained recognition from the adjudicating panels.

AEON Stores was established in Hong Kong in 1985 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1994. The Group is mainly engaged in the operation of general merchandise stores (GMS). Currently, it operates 10 GMS, 2 independent supermarkets, 33 independent Living PLAZA by AEON, 30 independent Daiso Japan, 1 independent Bento Express by AEON and 4 Mono Mono and 3 KOMEDA'S Coffee in densely populated districts in Hong Kong.
