AEON Day: Po Leung Kuk Kwai Chung Integrated Rehabilitation Centre Visit

On 11th May - "AEON Day", volunteers from AEON visited Po Leung Kuk Kwai Chung Integrated Rehabilitation Centre, which provides integrated services to mentally handicapped, disabled and ex-mentally ill persons.

The volunteers joined the residents of the Centre to learn about different herbs and organic gardening. They had a great time together learning to plant their own pots of mint and turn recycled bottles into gardening tools. After the workshop, the volunteers had a chance to visit the facilities in the Centre to know more about the daily life of the residents.

The activity has not only promoted green lifestyle, but has also provided an opportunity for the volunteers to get in touch with and care for the needy.
