"AEON Cheers Club” Members x AEON Volunteers Together Nurture 400 Native Saplings & Learn the Importance of Environmental Protection

AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited ("AEON Store”), has consistently  contributed to the environment and carried out environmental protection activities around the world. Since 2014, AEON Store has established "AEON Cheers Club" in Hong Kong, recruiting members aged of 6 to 14 who live near stores, with a focus on  nature and environmental protection education. Through a range of activities, members could learn about nature, the importance of environmental protection, and develop teamwork and independent thinking skills.

On 17th May, 2025, to support the "Country Parks Plantation Enrichment Programme,"AEON Store, AEON Credit Service (Asia) and Friends of the Earth (HK) jointly hosted 2025 Tree Planting Event and planted 400 native saplings together included pyrus calleryana, syzygium hancei and choerospondias axillaris. This effort contributes to greening Hong Kong and the preserving the local ecosystem.

Following the tree planting activity,  17 "AEON Cheers Club" members returned to Tai Lam Country Park to participate in a tree caring activity on 14th September, 2025. Together with over 20 AEON volunteers, participants were organized into teams to perform essential maintenance tasks for the 400 saplings planted earlier, including weeding, fertilizing, and irrigating to ensure the saplings receive the necessary nutrients for healthy growth. Through this tree caring activity, “AEON Cheers Club” members not only learned more about forests and biodiversity from the instructor's guidance but also developed independent skills and teamwork spirit as they cooperated with their peers without parental supervision.

In order to achieve the vision of "Create a future lifestyle that leads to a smile for each and every person”, AEON will continue its tree planting initiatives, contributing to society and building a sustainable future for communities, customers and AEON employees.

AEON Cheers Club:

Established in 2014 in Hong Kong, "AEON Cheers Club" focuses on nature and environmental protection education. It recruits members aged 4 to 6 who live near stores and regularly organizes free educational activities. These activities allow children to joyfully learn about nature and understand the importance of environmental protection. Moreover, we aim to cultivate teamwork, curiosity and independent thinking skills through active participation. The activities of "AEON Cheers Club" are organized annually according to six environmental themes, namely "Sun and Nature," "Plants," "Animals," "Garbage," "Reuse," and "Energy." With a six-year cycle, 2 to 4 activities are held around a theme every year. Since its inception, "AEON Cheers Club" has gain popularity among students and parents.
