AEON pledged for food waste collection and delivery to O.PARK1

AEON is always devoted in supporting environmental protection over the years through different activities and measures. As an initiative for waste reduction, AEON has started food waste recycling programme since 2013. Starting from September 2018, AEON supports the Government's environmental policies by collecting and delivering food waste to the new facility "O.PARK1", located in Siu Ho Wan, for treatment. With adoption of advanced technologies, "O.PARK1" transforms food waste into electricity and compost. It helps reduce the pressure on landfills and greenhouse gas emissions. The electricity generated is not only used for facility operation, but also supplied to the city's power grid.

On 1st November, AEON attended the Pledging Ceremony of O.PARK1 and received appreciation for its support. AEON will make good use of the facility to support source separation and waste-to-energy, striving for a more sustainable society in Hong Kong.
